It’s more of an art than a science, so feel free to ask questions and get feedback from others! Here are a few examples of descriptive text with the proposed hyperlink text in brackets:

Or even worse, listening to the actual URL read aloud one character at a time: “aitch tee tee pee, colon, forward slash, forward slash, double-u, double-u, double-u dot…” I’m sure you can imagine how unhelpful it is to hear a string of “Click here! Learn more! Read more! Click here!” and then have to go backwards to read the surrounding paragraphs to figure out where each link goes. Screen reader technology gives the user an option to have all the hyperlinks on a page read aloud to them instead of having to read the entire page to find the link to the info they need.

Instead of “Click here!” use descriptive text for hyperlinks that gives information about the link’s destination.
